A Bachelor Weekend in S.I.
Amanda caught a train to York (well, Lancaster really) earlier today to begin a weekend of wedding progress in PA. She has been dying to pick up her dress and, of course, to meet with the baker. I can’t tell if she’s more excited about her dress or about the cake. Probably the cake.
Everyone keeps telling us that there’s no such thing as being ahead in your wedding preparations, but from my vantage point I find that hard to believe. Amanda has been ticking items off our to-do list left and right (it’s all I can do to keep up!), and we’ve chosen to handle personally a lot of things that often get delegated out to other people (and usually not for free). I don’t want to say too much about what all Amanda is doing herself, but suffice it to say I think this wedding is going to have a very personal feel to it as a result.
Now that this site is together, I’ve moved on to collecting possible reading for the ceremony. I’m debating between some Steven Hawking and some Thomas Kuhn. Whaddya think?
