Wedding Bands are Gonna Bling
On Saturday Amanda and I picked out our wedding bands, plus a few other requisites, at Ream Jewelers, which is just about two blocks away from our apartment. They’re both white gold; mine is fairly simple and wide with some geometric detail, and hers is a contemporary styled thin band with channel-set stones. We were both giddy for the rest of the weekend.
On Sunday Amanda and I met with Brenda, the organist at St. Paul’s. Both of us have known her for years and years–Amanda for about as long as she’s been attending that church, and myself since sixth grade when she became my bus driver through high school. She’s just a wonderful person, and we had an enjoyable time selecting music for the ceremony. We’re going to meet with her once more to finalize the songs and arrangements, but we’ve got a good feel for the music.
