I Love Me Some Mashed Taters
They’ve started playing Christmas music on the radio, another sign of how close the day I get to call Daniel “my husband” is. The counter of “days until” on our site keeps ticking down…I can’t believe how time has flown these past few months. Just last month I was sitting with my mom in her kitchen carefully assembling the table centerpieces while watching the Penn State game on TV. Not too long before that I was giddily putting stamps on invitations. We’re both getting really excited as reality sets in. 18 days to go!
I had my bridal shower this past weekend. I was completely surprised…and of course everyone, including my pastor, was in on it. It was so nice to see so many of my family and friends under one roof, enjoying each others’ company and lots of hot tea. Here’s a huge “thank you!” to all of you who made it happen! This holiday weekend will consist of eating lots of leftovers, a trial hair-run, and *finally* meeting with our photographer. Daniel picked out a smashing suit last week, and I’m having my “final fitting” (or at least it better be…I’m tired of running to Harrisburg to put on a dress) on Friday. We picked our wine for the reception, and I think everyone will be pleased. It’s from a local winery, Allegro, a touch that Daniel and I really wanted to include.
